- 1/2 cup tamarind paste
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup palm sugar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup, roughly chopped roasted peanuts
- 1/4 cup, chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup, chopped mint
- 1/4 cup, crushed dried shrimp
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Step 1: In a small bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup tamarind paste, 1/4 cup rice vinegar, 1/4 cup palm sugar, and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil until the sugar dissolves completely. Add 2 tablespoons lime juice and 1/4 teaspoon salt, then let sit for 5 minutes to meld flavors.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine 4 cups finely shredded green cabbage, 1/2 cup roughly chopped roasted peanuts, 1/4 cup chopped cilantro, and 1/4 cup chopped mint. If using dried shrimp, add 1/4 cup crushed dried shrimp to the bowl.
