Instructions
- Step 1: Heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add 14 oz cubed extra-firm tofu and cook for 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally until all sides are golden and crispy. Remove tofu from pan and set aside.
- Step 2: In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp vegetable oil and 4 cups broccoli florets. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
- Step 3: Meanwhile, combine 3 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp rice vinegar, 1 tsp brown sugar, 1 tsp cornstarch, 1/4 cup water, and 5 minced garlic cloves in a small bowl. Pour this sauce mixture over the broccoli and stir well.
- Step 4: Return the tofu to the skillet and toss gently with the sauce and broccoli. Cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the tofu and vegetables evenly.
- Step 5: Remove from heat and garnish with 1 tbsp sesame seeds and 2 sliced green onions before serving with steamed rice or noodles.
