Cinnamon-Spiced Ground Beef Tacos with Avocado Crema

- 12 oz ground beef
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 avocado
- 2 tbsp cilantro
- 1 tsp lime zest
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 8 leaves romaine lettuce
Instructions
- Step 1: Heat 1 tbsp avocado oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 12 oz ground beef and cook for 5 minutes, breaking into small crumbles, then stir in 1 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, and 1/2 tsp salt. Cook for 2 more minutes until spices are fragrant.
- Step 2: Stir in 1 tbsp lime juice and cook for 1 minute more, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Step 3: While beef cools, blend 1 peeled avocado, 2 tbsp chopped cilantro, 1 tsp lime zest, and 1/2 tsp salt in a food processor until smooth. Divide cooled beef between 8 lettuce leaves and top with 1-2 tbsp avocado crema.
