- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup walnuts
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F. Beat 1/2 cup softened butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1/4 cup maple syrup until creamy. Add 1 large egg and 1 tsp vanilla extract, beating until well combined.
- Step 2: Whisk 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1/2 tsp baking soda, and 1/2 tsp salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Step 3: Stir in 1/2 cup rolled oats and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts until evenly distributed.
- Step 4: Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart. Flatten slightly with the back of a spoon.
- Step 5: Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are golden brown. Let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
