Roasted Red Pepper & Za'atar Hummus with Pita Crisps

Ingredients
- 1 can (15 ounces), drained chickpeas
- 2, roasted and peeled red bell peppers
- 2 teaspoons za'atar spice blend
- 3 tablespoons tahini
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 clove, minced garlic
- 4 small rounds pita bread
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Step 1: In a food processor, blend 15-ounce can drained chickpeas, 2 roasted and peeled red bell peppers, 2 teaspoons za'atar, 3 tablespoons tahini, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 minced garlic clove, and 1/4 teaspoon salt until smooth, scraping down sides as needed.
- Step 2: Spread hummus in a shallow dish, then swirl in 1 teaspoon za'atar and 1 tablespoon water to create a marbled effect.
- Step 3: Cut 4 small pita rounds into 8 wedges each. Brush both sides with 1 tablespoon olive oil and place on a baking sheet.
- Step 4: Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes until crisp and golden, flipping halfway.
- Step 5: Serve hummus chilled with warm pita crisps on the side.
