  1. Step 1: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add linguine and cook for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
  2. Step 2: While pasta cooks, heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add saffron threads and stir for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Step 3: Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until aromatic, then add cherry tomatoes. Sauté for 4 minutes until tomatoes begin to soften and release juices.
  4. Step 4: Add shrimp to skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and tomatoes from skillet.
  5. Step 5: Add drained linguine to skillet with 2 tbsp reserved pasta water. Toss vigorously for 1 minute until pasta is coated. Stir in tomatoes, shrimp, lemon zest, and parsley. Add more pasta water if needed to create a light sauce.
