Simple Ginger Turmeric Bone Broth

Ingredients
- 2 lbs beef bones
- 2 tbsp ginger
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 2 medium carrots
- 2 stalks celery
- 1 medium onion
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Place bones in a slow cooker, add 6 cups cold water, and cover. Bring to a gentle simmer on low heat for 12 hours.
- Step 2: Strain broth through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, discarding solids.
- Step 3: Return strained broth to the pot, add 2 tbsp peeled and minced ginger, 1 tsp turmeric, 2 diced carrots, 2 chopped celery stalks, 1 diced onion, 1 tsp sea salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
- Step 4: Simmer uncovered for 2 hours on low heat until flavors meld and broth is rich, skimming excess fat if desired.
