Spiced Fafda with Lemon and Coriander

Ingredients
- 1 cup chickpea flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup coriander
- 2 tablespoons oil
Instructions
- Step 1: In a bowl, combine 1 cup chickpea flour, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder, and 1 teaspoon salt.
- Step 2: Add 1/2 cup water and 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Knead into a firm dough for 3 minutes until smooth and non-sticky.
- Step 3: Cover dough with a damp cloth and rest for 20 minutes.
- Step 4: Divide dough into 12 equal portions. Roll each into 1/4-inch thick ropes, then cut into 1-inch pieces.
- Step 5: Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry 6 pieces at a time for 2 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
- Step 6: While warm, toss fried pieces with 1/4 cup chopped coriander. Cool completely before serving.
