Baked Kibbeh with Bulgur and Ground Beef

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup, finely ground bulgur wheat
- 1/2 cup, finely chopped yellow onion
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, finely ground bulgur, chopped onion, cumin, allspice, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, and 1/4 cup parsley. Mix thoroughly with hands until evenly distributed.
- Step 2: Press mixture firmly into a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan, smoothing the top. Drizzle with 2 tbsp olive oil.
- Step 3: Bake for 40 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from oven and let rest 10 minutes.
- Step 4: Spread 1/2 cup tomato sauce over the top, then garnish with an additional 1 tbsp chopped parsley before slicing.
