Ingredients
- 4 thick-cut (1 inch), about 6 oz each pork chops
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves, minced garlic
- 1 tbsp, chopped fresh thyme
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Pat pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add pork chops and cook for 4 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 145°F.
- Step 2: Transfer pork chops to a plate and tent loosely with foil. Add remaining 1 tbsp olive oil to the skillet over medium heat. Add 3 minced garlic cloves and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
- Step 3: Stir in 1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme and cook for 10 seconds. Reduce heat to low, add 2 tbsp unsalted butter, and swirl until melted. Pour garlic-thyme butter over rested pork chops and serve immediately.
