Instructions
- Step 1: Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 2 minutes. Add 14 oz pressed and cubed firm tofu in a single layer and cook undisturbed for 4 minutes until golden on the bottom.
- Step 2: Flip the tofu cubes and cook for an additional 3 minutes until all sides are golden and crispy. Remove tofu from skillet and set aside.
- Step 3: In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp vegetable oil, then add 3 cups broccoli florets. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until bright green and just tender.
- Step 4: Add 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger and 2 minced garlic cloves to the broccoli and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Step 5: Stir together 3 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp rice vinegar, 1 tsp sesame oil, and 1 tsp maple syrup in a small bowl. Pour the sauce over the broccoli and add the tofu back to the skillet.
- Step 6: Toss everything together and cook for 2 more minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the tofu and broccoli.
- Step 7: Remove from heat and garnish with 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds and 2 sliced green onions before serving.
