Recipes are rated on a 1–5 star scale by logged-in AislePrompt users after they cook a meal. Ratings are stored as an aggregate average (e.g. 4.3 ★) alongside the rating count (e.g. 42 reviews). The Top 500 leaderboard ranks the entire catalog by average rating descending, with rating count used as a tiebreaker — a recipe with 4.2 ★ from 200 reviews ranks ahead of a 4.2 ★ recipe with 3 reviews. Newly-added recipes that have not yet received any ratings show a "New" badge instead of a star rating; they appear in the "Fresh additions" section above and on category pages but are not eligible for the Top 500 leaderboard until at least one rating is submitted.
